No, saber-toothed tigers did not have striped fur. They were believed to have had a more solid-colored coat, likely a tawny or reddish-brown color. The stripes commonly associated with tigers today are seen in modern-day tigers, not in saber-toothed tigers. **

Saber-toothed tiger cats, also known as Smilodon, functioned as apex predators during the Pleistocene era. They were well-adapted for hunting large herbivores, using their long, curved canine teeth to deliver powerful bites to their prey. Their strong, muscular bodies and sharp claws also aided in capturing and subduing their food. Saber-toothed tiger cats likely lived and hunted in social groups, allowing them to take down larger prey and defend their territory more effectively. **

It is theoretically possible to recreate saber-toothed tigers or mammoths through a process called de-extinction, which involves using genetic engineering to bring back extinct species. However, there are many ethical and practical considerations to take into account, such as the potential impact on existing ecosystems and the welfare of the recreated animals. Additionally, the technology to accomplish this feat is still in its early stages and would require significant advancements before it could be realistically attempted. Therefore, while it is not impossible, the recreation of saber-toothed tigers or mammoths in the near future is highly uncertain. **

Saber-toothed tigers, also known as Smilodons, went extinct around 10,000 years ago during the late Pleistocene era. There are several theories as to why they went extinct, including climate change, human hunting, and competition with other large predators. The changing climate may have led to a decline in their prey, making it difficult for them to survive. Additionally, the arrival of humans may have increased competition for resources and led to direct hunting of saber-toothed tigers. Ultimately, a combination of factors likely contributed to their extinction. **

The saber-toothed tiger had a fur pattern that was typically a solid color, such as brown, tan, or yellow. They did not have distinctive patterns like stripes or spots. This solid-colored fur helped them blend in with their surroundings while hunting for prey. **

In a hypothetical battle between a saber-toothed tiger and a tiger-lion, it is difficult to determine a clear winner as both animals are formidable predators. The saber-toothed tiger, known for its long, curved canine teeth, may have had a strength advantage due to its larger size and specialized hunting abilities. On the other hand, the tiger-lion, a hybrid of a tiger and a lion, would possess a combination of traits from both species, potentially making it a versatile and powerful opponent. Ultimately, the outcome of such a confrontation would depend on various factors such as size, age, and individual fighting skills of the animals involved. **

While it is theoretically possible to recreate saber-toothed tigers or mammoths using advanced genetic engineering techniques like cloning, there are many ethical and practical challenges that would need to be overcome. The DNA of these extinct species would need to be well-preserved, and there are concerns about the impact of reintroducing these animals into modern ecosystems. Additionally, the technology and resources required for such a project are currently not available, making it unlikely that saber-toothed tigers or mammoths will be recreated in the near future. **

A saber-toothed tiger would have used its large, sharp canine teeth to grasp and immobilize its prey. Once the prey was subdued, the saber-toothed tiger would have used its powerful jaw muscles to deliver a fatal bite to the neck or throat of its prey. After the prey was killed, the saber-toothed tiger would have used its strong jaws and sharp teeth to tear into the flesh and consume its meal. **
